Trainee CAD Operator/Satellite Image Interpreter:
The successful applicants will work in our GIS Department, interpreting and creating maps from aerial photographs. The role is a training position, working towards the requirements of Digital Cartographer.
Digital Cartographers are responsible for the generation of digital data according to customer specifications, using various systems and data capture/editing techniques.
No qualifications are necessary as full training will be given, although knowledge of drawing software may be of an advantage.
The post requires quick decision making, attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Candidates will be paid at the lower rate and monies will increase with efficiency
22+ years: £6.00 rising to £7.80
18 – 21 years: £5.00 rising to £6.80
16 – 17 years : £3.70 rising to £5.50
NB: Applicants must be British Citizens as the work carried out is for the UK Government and employees must undergo strict security vetting.
